Netflix inks deal for PBS shows

The streaming video leader said Wed. that it's agreed to an expanded multiyear licensing deal with PBS Distribution, making more PBS programs available to its subscribers. Fin'l terms weren't disclosed. Netflix (NFLX) will stream Ken Burns documentaries and other Public Broadcasting Service programs starting in the fall. Apple (AAPL), meantime, is near a deal with Time Warner Cable (TWC) to give subscribers access to channels via Apple TV, Bloomberg said, quoting knowledgeable sources. Netflix shares fell 0.3% to 220.91. Apple rose 0.6% to 420.80.
