Netflix is getting better at releasing viewing figures, though its process of doing so - what show and when - still feels a bit random.

Regardless, we are grateful every time the streaming service does give us some info, like when it tweeted: "The critically-acclaimed limited series Unbelievable has been watched by 32 million member households in its first 28 days."

The eight-episode series focuses on a woman who was sexually assaulted in her sleep at the age of 18. As she reports the attack and the case gets underway viewers see how poorly she is treated by the people who should be trying to help her.

Rather than flocking to her aid, those in positions of authority – the initial detectives assigned to the case and a number of Marie’s foster parents – question her version of events.

The show isn't just a work of fiction either, it is actually based on the award-winning article about Marie Adler, by reporters Ken Armstrong and T Christian Miller.

The real-life Adler has praised the show, calling it "excellent" and commending actress Kaitlyn Dever’s portrayal of herself.
