NEW YORK (AP) _ News Corp. (NWS) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $231 million.
The New York-based company said it had net income of 39 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 34 cents per share.
The publishing company whose flagship is The Wall Street Journal posted revenue of $2.41 billion in the period.
News Corp. shares have increased 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $19.57, a climb of 38% in the last 12 months.
