News Summary: Merging airlines name future leaders

AIRLINE MANAGEMENT: US Airways Group Inc. CEO Doug Parker will rely heavily on longtime advisers when he takes control of American Airlines after the companies merge, probably this summer.

VICTORY SPOILS: The airlines announced Monday the top eight executives at the new company. Five will come from Parker's team at US Airways, and they'll hold the most important jobs including president and chief operations officer.

NEW BOARD: The 12-member board of the new company, American Airlines Group Inc., will have four holdovers from the US Airways board, including Parker, and three from AMR, including CEO Tom Horton.
