Investing.com - Disney is to ban ads for Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) from all of its channels, the Wall Street Journal reported, as the rivalry between the two gets increasingly direct. Disney announced it will launch its new streaming service, Disney+, in November.
The news comes a day after the WSJ also reported Disney's arguing with Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) over how much advertising Disney content should carry on Amazon's Fire streaming devices.
Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) shares up 1.0%; they're up 18% year to date.
Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX) shares down 0.1%. They've fallen 10% this year as others have encroached on its turf.
