NextEra Energy (NEE) Gains But Lags Market: What You Should Know

In the latest trading session, NextEra Energy (NEE) closed at $204.77, marking a +0.11% move from the previous day. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.41%. Elsewhere, the Dow gained 0.39%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq added 0.57%.

Prior to today's trading, shares of the parent company of Florida Power & Light Co. Had gained 4.97% over the past month. This has outpaced the Utilities sector's gain of 3.09% and the S&P 500's gain of 0.1% in that time.
