IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Quality Systems, Inc. (QSII), known to its clients as NextGen Healthcare, will be honoring the heroes who work at health centers and help make affordable health care possible for people in need during this year’s National Health Center Week, August 12 – 18.
In the United States, more than 205,000 people work at health centers in positions stretching from clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dentists and dental hygienists, behavioral health specialists, and more.
“It is our honor to participate in National Health Center Week to recognize the incredible work and care provided to our most vulnerable populations,” noted Tom Farmer, NextGen Healthcare’s director, specialty products. “It has been my life work and mission over the past 30 years to help create the best tools and resources at NextGen Healthcare for our Community Health Centers to reach as many patients as possible. I have traveled the country and have seen similar needs in rural and urban communities alike. While we’ve made huge progress it’s never enough and ever-changing. Our goal is to enable our clients to provide the best care possible, so their patients may live long and productive lives.”
Echoing Farmer’s sentiment, Cherie Holmes-Henry, vice president of industry affairs at NextGen Healthcare stated, “At NextGen Healthcare, we value the work that Community Health Center’s do in their communities and are dedicated to providing solutions to meet the special needs of the providers who work within these unique organizations.”
National Health Center Week is focused on themes such as Public Housing Health Centers, Healthcare for the Homeless, and Children’s Health. NextGen Healthcare will be visiting 12 of our health care center clients in-person to host an afternoon of activities in appreciation for all that they do, and extend special gifts of thanks to our broader client base.
“During this week, we celebrate the great heroes in healthcare, the providers, the patients, the staff, everybody who makes it their mission to provide wellness and care to the underserved populations across our country,” expressed NextGen Healthcare’s President and CEO, Rusty Frantz.
NextGen Healthcare is a silver sponsor of this year’s National Health Center Week and a sponsor of the 2018 Community Health Institute & EXPO in Orlando, Florida, August 26 – 28.
