NHL Plays will highlight the best and the most underrated daily fantasy options among forwards, defensemen and goaltenders.
Please note, these players were chosen early in the day, so make sure to check Rotoworld’s player news for any lineup changes, injuries and potential changes in the crease for starting goaltenders.
Additionally, it is worth reminding everyone that FanDuel allows you to roster nine players (2C, 4W, 2D, 1G) with a salary cap of $55,000, while DraftKings has a cap of $50,000 for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 1G, 1UTIL). Yahoo has a $200 cap for nine players (2C, 3W, 2D, 2G).

There are four games in the NHL on Monday.
Roope Hintz (Dallas) - C - $5,600 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings) $17 (Yahoo)
While the Stars top three of Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Alexander Radulov have struggled to start the season, the same cannot be said of Hintz. He has six goals and seven points thus far and has a two-game goal scoring streak. Hintz is seeing second line power play time but he could move up if the top unit continues to struggle.
Mikko Rantanen (Colorado) - W - $8,200 (FanDuel), $6,800 (DraftKings) $27 (Yahoo)
Rantanen is off to his typical good start with five goals and 11 points as part of one of the best lines in the NHL. Rantanen was expected to get off to a slow start after holding out through most of training camp as an RFA but it has been anything but a slow start for the Finn.
Max Pacioretty (Vegas) - W - $7,000 (FanDuel), $7,000(DraftKings), $23 (Yahoo)
Pacioretty is known more as a goal scorer than an assists machine but this season he has been setting it up with great frequency as the former Hab has only two goals but eight assists. He sees top line minutes as well as first power play time as six of his points have come with the man-advantage.
Bargain Bin: Ilya Mikheyev (Toronto) - W - $4,200 (FanDuel)/$4,400 (DraftKings)/ $17 (Yahoo) , Jakub Voracek (Philadelphia) - W - $6,600 (FanDuel)/$5,100 (DraftKings)/ $18 (Yahoo) , Joonas Donskoi (Colorado) -W- $3,300 (FanDuel)/$3,700 (DraftKings)/ $15 (Yahoo) Alexander Kerfoot -C- (Toronto) - $4 ,600 (FanDuel)/$3,900 (DraftKings) /$14 (Yahoo)
Morgan Rielly (Toronto) - $6,500 (FanDuel), $6,700 (DraftKings), $24 (Yahoo)
Rielly has two goals and four assists in his last three games to give him 11 points in 10 contests thus far. He has been getting his shot on net as well with 13 in the past three games. Toronto is home to Columbus Monday and it looks like a good slot for Rielly.
Miro Heiskanen (Dallas) - $4,500 (FanDuel), $5,400 (DraftKings), $17 (Yahoo)
Heiskanen is a stud. The 20-year-old has three goals and six points with two goals and four points in his last five games. The Stars take on lowly Ottawa Monday so Heiskanen looks like the play here.
Shea Theodore (Vegas) - $5,100 (FanDuel)/$5,200 (DraftKings)/ $19 (Yahoo) Cale Makar (Colorado) - $4,600 (FanDuel), $5,000 (DraftKings)/ $18 (Yahoo) Ian Cole (Colorado) - $3,500 (FanDuel), $3,200 (DraftKings)/ $17 (Yahoo)
Marc-Andre Fleury (Vegas) - $9,100 (FanDuel), $7,800 (DraftKings), $37 (Yahoo)
Fleury has been outstanding this season with a 6-2-0 record to go with a 2.18 GAA and a .934 save percentage. He shut out the Penguins Saturday and faces a slumping Flyers team that has lost four straight. Ben Bishop is also a good play here.
