Nielsen: Android has 48% share among recent smartphone buyers, Boy Genius says

Of the U.S. consumers polled by Nielsen who recently bought a smartphone, 48% purchased a device powered by Google's (GOOG) Android operating system, while 43% bought an iPhone from Apple (AAPL) and just 5% chose one of RIM's (RIMM) Blackberries, Nielsen reported, according to Boy Genius.
