Nissan Performs Well in CSI Study

Nissan Motor Co. (NSANY) announced its excellent performance in the J.D. Power and Associates Customer Service Index (CSI) Study. In the 2013 study, Nissan scored 797 out of 1,000 points, which is 23 points more than the last study score. With this score, Nissan was ranked sixth among the 19 others in the mass market brands segment.

The CSI study analyses the customer satisfaction with the dealer service departments during the first three years of purchase of the vehicle. The study is based on five criteria namely - service advisor, vehicle pick-up, service facility, service quality and service initiation. The 2013 CSI study was conducted on the owners of 2008 to 2012 model-year vehicles.

Nissan is fully committed to fulfilling customer expectations. Over the last two year, Nissan’s index score boosted by 66 points and catapulted Nissan 14 places ahead in the mass market brands segment rankings. Over the same time period, Nissan also undertook many new initiatives including improvements in training, facilities and processes to achieve excellence among the customers. The new initiatives include Nissan Customer Promise, which will provide a fair, honest and friendly environment for customers to purchase a vehicle.

Under another initiative Nissan Express Service, the company has provided an affordable, hassle-free service visit including 27-point safety and maintenance inspection as well as an oil and filter change under 30 minutes. The dealers are also providing extra service hours in the evening and in the weekend for customer convenience. Under the Nissan One to One Service scheduling initiative, the customers can schedule service online through the Nissan owner’s portal or though dealer's website.

Nissan Motor is one of the largest automaker in the world. The company, along with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of automotive products, industrial machinery and marine equipment, primarily in Japan, North America, and Europe. It manufactures passenger cars, trucks, buses, forklifts, light commercial vehicles, power trains and parts, and also offers sales financing activities.
