Nissan Prepping GT 86 Rival for Tokyo Motor Show

Jeff Perez

When the auto show season rolls around every automaker shows up with their latest and greatest prodects. This year, Nissan does not want to be outdone by a GT 86, and is about to roll out a rival vehicle, as well as something more.

According to What Car?, the GT 86 rival should be closer to the realm of production. A 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine off the Nissan Juke is expected to fit under the hood. Output is expected somewhere in the neighborhood of 197 horsepower.

Concept number two, on the other hand, is said to be a little bit more “crazy.” It is likely that this second vehicle won’t make its way into production (similar to the Nissan Esflow concept seen here). Specs on the second ride have yet to be given.

The 2013 Tokyo Motor Show opens up November 22nd.
