The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 7 cents per share.
The restaurant chain posted revenue of $129.4 million in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $129.9 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $71.7 million, or $2.58 per share. Revenue was reported as $487.5 million.
Noodles & Co. expects full-year revenue in the range of $465 million to $475 million.
