Nordstrom Just Released New Colors of Its Best-Selling Leggings With More Than 5,000 Five-Star Reviews
If you’ve tried Nordstrom’s Zella leggings, you’ll need these new launches, ASAP.
When it comes to shopping at Nordstrom, there are a few things we love the most about the fashion retailer, like its huge shoe section (*swoon*), the amazing deals during the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and the store’s in-house brands.
If you’re not a regular shopper of the Nordstrom-exclusive brands like me, you might be surprised to know that the store has eight different collections unique to Nordstrom including Halogen, BP, Leith, Caslon, and more, some of the most popular lines on Nordstrom. One of the store’s recent launches includes an upgrade of the in-house activewear collection called Zella. If you’re constantly in leggings and don’t have a pair of the Zella Live In High Waist Leggings, you’re missing a great pair in your athleisure wardrobe—especially since they are one of the best-selling items on Nordstrom with more than 5,000 five-star reviews!

As part of an initiative to create products that are reflective of Nordstrom’s shoppers active lifestyles, the store paired up with Los Angeles-based customers—a group of spin instructors, boxing coaches, runners, and yogis—to help design the new Zella Community Collection. With input on everything in the new collection, from sketches to product testing, this group helped Nordstrom revamp its Zella collection, which now features lightweight fabrics (made with recycled fibers), pockets (!), high-waisted styles, and sleek minimalistic styles that can be worn in and out of the gym.
“We've never done this before,” Zella Senior Designer Katie Walag says. “I literally took my sketches to LA and they voted on them. I talked through sketches with these customers the way I would with my design director.”
Upgrades to the fan-favorite Zella leggings includes a pocket on one leg big enough for a cell phone and a panel in the back (almost like a belt loop) so that you can slip a sweatshirt through for more reinforcement when you tie it around your waist. Plus, we can’t help but love the new tie-dye colorways for the leggings, too.
Along with an upgrade to the Zella Live In leggings, the Zella Community Collection includes size-inclusive styles in every item (from XXS to XXL) and brand new styles such as jogger sweats, graphic tanks, biker shorts, and even a fanny pack.
