Notable option activity in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Theshold Pharmaceuticals (THLD): More than 5,000 January 5 calls were bought, mostly for $1.05 and $1.10, as investors positioned for a rally in the biotech stock. THLD rose 1.26 percent to $3.63.

ProShares UltraShort Euro (EUO): More than 54,000 February 28 calls were bought, mostly for $0.85 to $0.95, as investors brace for downside in the common currency before tomorrow's central bank meeting.

Air Products & Chemicals (APD): Investors sold 19,800 December 135 calls, mostly for $4.67 and $4.68.  Volume was below open interest at the strike, which suggests an existing position was unwound. APD fell 0.01 percent to $137.99.
