NTSB investigates 787 battery

National Transportation Safety Board asked for a history of the lithium-ion batteries used in Boeing's (BA)787 Dreamliners. The investigation comes after Japan's All Nippon Airways said it replaced the batteries 10 times on its jet because they wouldn't charge. Both All Nippon Airways and Boeing said replacing an airplane's batteries wasn't an uncommon occurrence. All 787s have been grounded after incidents with the batteries in Boston and Japan earlier this month. Boeing shares rose 1.3%.
