PROVO, Utah (AP) _ Nu Skin Enterprises Inc. (NUS) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $46.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Provo, Utah-based company said it had profit of 83 cents.
The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 83 cents per share.
The seller of skin care and nutritional products through a direct-selling model posted revenue of $623.5 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $633.2 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Nu Skin said it expects revenue in the range of $595 million to $615 million.
The company expects full-year earnings to be $3.20 to $3.35 per share, with revenue ranging from $2.48 billion to $2.52 billion.
Nu Skin shares have dropped 37% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $38.55, a decrease of 55% in the last 12 months.
