Nu Skin plunges on Q2 miss

The direct seller of skin-care anti-aging products says that its EPS fell 7% to $1.13, missing views by 14 cents. Revenue fell 5% to $650 mil, under views for $709 mil, as sales in its top market, China, fell 12% to $229.9 mil. In Jan., Nu Skin (NUS) halted all business and promotional meetings in China after a newspaper criticized its sales and marketing tactics and called it a pyramid scheme. Nu Skin also says that it changed Q1 results to include $28 mil in charges. Shares dropped 19.7% to 46.52.
