NXNE Music has confirmed that rock 'n' roll legends Social Distortion and Outkast rapper Big Boi will headline free shows at Yonge-Dundas Square (YDS). The NXNE Music line-up also includes performances at YDS and in the clubs by Toronto hardcore darlings F**ked Up, Montreal-based chanteuse Coeur De Pirate, hip hop duo Smif N' Wessun, genre-crossing experimentalists WHY?, San Francisco post-punkers The Soft Moon, British guitar band Peace, melodic punks White Lung, chillwave quartet DIANA, noise rock trio Nü Sensae, heavy psych group Destruction Unit, synth pop artists Majical Cloudz, pop shoegazers Still Corners, Copenhagen punk band Lower, electro-rockers Moon King, jazz-rock fusionists Lean Left featuring Andy Moor, Terrie Ex, Ken Vandermark and Paal Nilssen-Love, and indie rockers Blinker the Star performing for the first time in ten years. Calexico will rock the Mod Club on Wednesday, June 12 and Millencolin will perform at The Phoenix on Saturday, June 15.
