From Cosmopolitan

It's a pretty good time to be plant-based. After Quorn announced they were foraying into sandwiches and wraps, and Pret confirmed vegan versions of their most popular sandwiches, Oatly took things one step further. Yep, Oatly ice-cream.

While it can sometimes feel like the vegan snack game is limited (and don't even get us started on desserts), Oatly is hoping to make that a thing of the past with their delightful new invention.

The ice cream, made from oats not dairy, will launch in three flavours: Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl and Salted Caramel, and come with the amazing Oatly taste have come to know and love. This is exciting.

The Chocolate Fudge flavour is stuffed full of fudge bites (made from oat drink, obviously), while Oatly promise "no ice cream is better than" their Hazelnut Swirl, which is made with caramel ice cream, salty caramel sauce and candied hazelnuts. Yum.

As for the Salted Caramel ice cream? Oatly say "there’s something slightly magical about the flavour and texture and creaminess of this ice cream that can’t be captured on a boring old press release. A dessert chef might say, 'The smooth and creamy consistency allows the salty caramel ripple to shine through and perfectly balance the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream. It’s complex in its simplicity'."
