·1 min read

"Ukrainska Pravda" – TUESDAY, 5 JULY 2022, 13:48

The occupiers have brought teachers from Russia to Zaporizhzhia Oblast and are compelling parents to send their children to kindergartens and schools that follow the Russian educational system.

Source: the press service of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine

Quote: "In the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the occupying administration is compelling Ukrainian citizens to send their children to schools and kindergartens that follow the Russian educational system. It is teachers who came from Russia who work there".

Details: If parents refuse to do so, the occupiers are threatening to take their children away from them and send them to boarding schools. There is also a punishment for parents – military service in the army of the so-called "DPR" and community service for women".

Background: The Russian occupiers are planning to hold so-called "referendums", on 11 September, on the creation of "republics" on the territories of the occupied Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
