Oceaneering International: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

HOUSTON (AP) _ Oceaneering International Inc. (OII) on Wednesday reported a loss of $66 million in its third quarter.

The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 67 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 14 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.

The oilfield services company posted revenue of $519.3 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $492.2 million.

Oceaneering International shares have risen slightly since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $21.18, a drop of 13 percent in the last 12 months.
