Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most explosive players in the NFL. He seems to be able to draw the attention of anyone in the NFL … anyone, that is, except for the silent, unknowable enigma that is the Giants kicking net.
BeckNet’s relationship started off on rocky ground, as Beckham attacked the net during a Week 3 game with the Washington Redskins. You just don’t do that to the ones you love, and Beckham understood that he needed to make amends. He did exactly that on Sunday night against Green Bay, showing his love for the net he’d wronged so badly two weeks before.
Which brings us to Sunday, a day in which Beckham scored two touchdowns. He celebrated the first with a half-hour-long demonstration which, strangely enough, didn’t draw a flag even though the NFL levies penalties for other players who sigh too loudly. After that, Beckham ended up on the ground in some kind of, uh, special embrace with the net.
Let’s just give them their privacy, shall we? All of us at Yahoo Sports hope for the best for these two crazy kids.
