The company recently announced its intention to acquire Luxtera. With Luxtera buyout, Cisco aims to expand its optical transceiver portfolio to support higher bandwidth, primarily for its data center customers. On Jan 30, 2019, the company announced its plan to acquire Singularity Networks, a privately held network infrastructure analytics company.
