O'Hara, Abi-Karam leaving Pitney Bowes; Wright named as O'Hara's successor
STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Two executive vice presidents at Pitney Bowes, one the president of the software division, the other, the president of the communications unit, are leaving the mailing equipment company.
O'Hara, from software, will be succeeded by Mark Wright, who was executive vice president at Infor Global Solutions. As president of the reorganized software unit, Wright takes over a group with a broader variety of Pitney Bowes' software offerings.
The company also named named Mark Shearer as executive vice president and president of the SMB mailing solutions business. Shearer will lead the reorganized division, which will concentrate on mailing products and technologies for small and medium-sized businesses globally.
Shearer worked for IBM in various roles, including as vice president of marketing and strategy for its $20 billioni hardware businesses.
Shares of Pitney Bowes Inc. added 18 cents to $14.90 in morning trading.
