HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) _ Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings Inc. (OLLI) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter profit of $25.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 38 cents. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, were 35 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 46 cents per share.
The retailer posted revenue of $333.9 million in the period, which also missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $339.8 million.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.95 to $2 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.42 billion to $1.43 billion.
Ollie's Bargain Outlet shares have increased 17% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $77.62, a drop of 6.5% in the last 12 months.
