OMG, There Was a Hidden Tribute to Princess Diana in Meghan Markle’s Wedding Dress

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found so many wonderful ways to honor his late mother, Princess Diana on their wedding day. From Markle’s wedding bouquet, which featured Princess Diana’s favorite flowers (forget-me-nots) to her “something blue” reception ring, which was also her late mother-in-law’s, and, of course, her stunning engagement ring, that features two stones from a ring of Princess Diana’s. But there was one hidden “something blue” tribute to Princess Diana that few were privy to, and it is very touching.

Aside from donning blue soles beneath her white Aquazurra heels, it seems Markle chose a hidden something blue tribute for the ceremony in her Clare Waight Keller wedding dress.

CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota, who was at the royal wedding, explained to InStyle, “There were all these different little symbols of Diana. They had a blue ribbon that Diana had also worn sewn into the inside of Megan’s dress, as it had been to Kate’s, so that each bride was carrying a little piece of Princess Diana with her down the aisle.”

We had no idea that both Prince William and Prince Harry’s brides included such a sweet tribute to their late mom, and there’s truly no better way to honor her legacy and her memory than with such a stylish and heartfelt touch. We love that Harry and his new wife incorporated so many details to include her in spirit on the most important day of their lives.
