MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) _ Omnicell Inc. (OMCL) on Thursday reported second-quarter earnings of $16 million.
The Mountain View, California-based company said it had profit of 37 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were 67 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 64 cents per share.
The Omnicell Inc. posted revenue of $217.4 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $213.2 million.
For the current quarter ending in October, Omnicell expects its per-share earnings to range from 67 cents to 72 cents.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.65 to $2.82 per share.
Omnicell shares have increased 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $70.67, a rise of 34% in the last 12 months.
