EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ OneMain Holdings Inc. (OMF) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $248 million.
On a per-share basis, the Evansville, Indiana-based company said it had net income of $1.82. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $1.77 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.58 per share.
The consumer finance company posted revenue of $1.07 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $821 million, which also beat Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $790.1 million.
OneMain shares have risen 58% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $38.47, an increase of 40% in the last 12 months.
