EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ OneMain Holdings Inc. (OMF) on Monday reported fourth-quarter profit of $359 million.
On a per-share basis, the Evansville, Indiana-based company said it had net income of $2.67. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $2.77 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.93 per share.
The consumer finance company posted revenue of $1.23 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $850 million, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $835.9 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $730 million, or $5.41 per share. Revenue was reported as $3.34 billion.
OneMain shares have climbed 16% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $55.82, an increase of 28% in the last 12 months.
