TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Oneok Inc. (OKE) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $312 million.
On a per-share basis, the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company said it had profit of 75 cents.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 11 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 70 cents per share.
The natural gas company posted revenue of $2.46 billion in the period, missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.7 billion.
Oneok shares have climbed 25% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has risen 20%. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $67.22, a decline of nearly 5% in the last 12 months.
