If you’re not up on hip-hop slang, that means Orel Hershiser can rap. And if you’re not up on Orel Hershiser, I will personally assure you that no one thought that about this 58-year-old former Cy Young winner before this video was sent out into the Twittersphere:

Yes, that’s Hershiser, the famous ex-MLB pitcher turned broadcaster, spitting along to Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” with fellow Dodgers announcer Joe Davis. If Vin Scully could see them now!
Hershiser isn’t ready to go toe-to-toe with Eminem by any means, but let’s admit that Em is one of the toughest emcees to rap along with, so kudos. And I’d bet every single baseball card I have that Hershiser would take out Ron Darling in a rap battle like it were Game 7 of the 1988 NLCS.
Oh, and we couldn’t resist a couple Photoshop efforts related to our new favorite baseball rapper, Orel Hershiser:

C’mon, his name is Orel. Of course he got flows.
