LEWISVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Orthofix Medical Inc. (OFIX) on Monday reported first-quarter profit of $897,000.

The Lewisville, Texas-based company said it had net income of 5 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 27 cents per share.

The medical device maker posted revenue of $109.1 million in the period.

Orthofix expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.75 to $1.82 per share, with revenue in the range of $472 million to $477 million.

Orthofix shares have climbed almost 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $57.52, an increase of nearly 10% in the last 12 months.
