Orthofix: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

LEWISVILLE, Texas (AP) _ Orthofix Medical Inc. (OFIX) on Monday reported a third-quarter loss of $1.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Lewisville, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 7 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 50 cents per share.

The medical device maker posted revenue of $111.7 million in the period.

Orthofix expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.70 to $1.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $451 million to $455 million.

Orthofix shares have increased 3.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $56.63, a rise of 15 percent in the last 12 months.
