ABINGDON, Britain (AP) _ Oxford Immunotec Global PLC (OXFD) on Monday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $141.6 million.
On a per-share basis, the Abingdon, Britain-based company said it had net income of $5.23. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to $1.25 per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 19 cents per share.
The immunology diagnostics company posted revenue of $15.4 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $18.6 million.
For the year, the company reported net income of $121.3 million, or $4.56 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $59.8 million.
Oxford Immunotec expects full-year revenue in the range of $69 million to $72 million.
Oxford Immunotec shares have increased 30 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $16.57, an increase of 28 percent in the last 12 months.
