PEARL RIVER, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2012) - Palisades Federal Credit Union, the largest Rockland County based Credit Union, announced today that they will be offering low rate emergency loans to provide relief and assistance to all Rockland County residents affected by Hurricane Sandy.

"As a non-profit community Credit Union, it is our responsibility to do all that we can to support our general community and membership in times of crisis."
The NY Credit Union is providing personal loans at 50% off their standard rates for terms up to 24 months for those impacted by the storm. The loans which the Credit Union will process within 24 hours can be used for anything from replacing spoiled food to purchasing a generator to paying for a tree service for removing a fallen tree to making up for lost pay during the storm.
In addition to providing emergency loans, Palisades Federal Credit Union is also reimbursing its members for all ATM fees incurred for using any ATM that they can find with power and has also waived many other fees including late payment and overdraft fees.
Emergency Loan Applications are being taken 24 hours a day by phone or online for both existing members as well as non-members.
