MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - Mar 6, 2013) - UPS (
As of February 25, transit times out of Panama and El Salvador will be reduced by one full day when sending packages and documents from both countries to the United States, Europe and Asia. In order to enable this improvement in its transit times, UPS has added new routes linking these countries to the rest of the world.
"UPS's cutting edge technologies and commitment to providing the best service possible to our customers enables continuous improvement in our transit times and efficiency in all of our operations," said Jose Acosta, president of Operations and Public Affairs for UPS Americas Region. "At UPS, we are constantly looking to identify new ways to maximize our services, by offering more direct flights and striving toward a better environment by reducing our carbon footprint," added Acosta.
The reduction in transit times will benefit customers using services such as UPS Worldwide Express Plus(SM), UPS Worldwide Express(SM), and UPS Worldwide Express Saver(SM).
