On a per-share basis, the Wildwood, Missouri-based company said it had net income of 66 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 58 cents per share.
The ski resort owner posted revenue of $84 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $82.9 million.
The company's shares closed at $4.50. A year ago, they were trading at $5.10.
