CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Pembina Pipeline Corp. (PBA) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter profit of $278.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had net income of 50 cents.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 48 cents per share.
The oil and gas transportation and services company posted revenue of $1.31 billion in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $892.7 million, or $1.77 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.67 billion.
Pembina Pipeline shares have climbed 23 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $36.45, an increase of 12 percent in the last 12 months.
