Penn West Petroleum (PWE) insider Ho Cheuk Fund sold 15,086,120 shares of the company between Sept. 20 and Oct. 14, according to a Form 4 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.


Penn West Petroleum is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and is a senior exploration and production company. The company explores, develops and holds interests in oil and natural gas properties and related production infrastructure in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, a region that is one of the world's largest petroleum reserves. Penn West Petroleums' goal is to be the company that redefines oil and gas excellence in Western Canada.
