Penneco Announces Scholarship Program: Penneco Invests in the Future of Energy

DELMON, PA--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2013) - Penneco Oil Company announced its new scholarship program today, Penneco Invests in the Future of Energy, which will award a total of $4,000 in scholarships to two college students majoring in geology, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, or petroleum geology at a four-year university. Penneco will award scholarships to two future problem solvers who are passionate about America's energy future.

Penneco takes pride in reducing the nation's dependence on foreign energy through enhanced development of domestic sources. The company is looking to America's future for innovation in the oil and gas exploration field. Students must complete an essay as part of the scholarship application. Penneco is excited to hear what students think of the energy future in the United States as well as what great innovations and ideas are ahead.

Students may apply for the Future of Energy Scholarship by downloading the application online and mailing in the completed application, essay, and transcript to the address found on the application page. Scholarship application materials must be postmarked no later than January 21, 2014, in order to be considered for the 2014-2015 academic year scholarship.
