Petrobras negotiates Brazil's largest platform with SBM

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Brazilian state-controlled oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA said it has started talks with offshore supplier SBM Offshore NV to hire a floating platform for the Buzios field at the Santos basin, the producer said in a statement on Tuesday.

The production storage and offloading unit (FPSO), Almirante Tamandaré will have capacity to produce 225,000 barrels a day, the largest in Brazil, according to Petrobras, as the company is known. (Reporting by Sabrina Valle, editing by Louise Heavens)
