PetroChina (PTR) Gains But Lags Market: What You Should Know

In the latest trading session, PetroChina (PTR) closed at $44.76, marking a +1.31% move from the previous day. This move lagged the S&P 500's daily gain of 1.92%. At the same time, the Dow added 2.15%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 0.12%.

Coming into today, shares of the oil and gas company had lost 12.18% in the past month. In that same time, the Oils-Energy sector lost 15.44%, while the S&P 500 gained 1.54%.
