GREELEY, Colo. (AP) _ Pilgrim's Pride Corp. (PPC) on Wednesday reported first-quarter profit of $67.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Greeley, Colorado-based company said it had profit of 27 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 18 cents per share.
The poultry producer posted revenue of $3.07 billion in the period.
Pilgrim's Pride shares have dropped 32% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $22.26, a decline of 17% in the last 12 months.
