Pinnacle's Q4 earnings soft

Casino company Pinnacle Entertainment's (PNK) Q4 EPS fell to 3 cents from 26 cents a year ago, but beat estimates for a 1-cent gain. Conversely, sales rose 9.4% to $301.6 mil, but that missed projections of $306.4 mil. Pinnacle, which operates 7 Midwest casinos, and horse racing tracks, doesn't own casinos in China's hot Macau casino gambling district like Las Vegas Sands (LVS) and others, so it doesn't benefit from the tremendous growth there. Pinnacle shares fell 5.9%.
