PNC names Chamberlain to head mortgage unit

PNC Financial names Chamberlain CEO of mortgage unit, replacing retiring Naqvi

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The PNC Financial Services Group Inc. on Wednesday appointed E. Todd Chamberlain to run the company's mortgage unit, succeeding Saiyid T. Naqvi, who is retiring.

Chamberlain, 51, will be CEO of PNC Mortgage after serving as that unit's president and chief operating officer since joining the company in 2011.

Naqvi, 63, plans to retire at the end of April, when Chamberlain will assume his post.

Before joining PNC, Chamberlain was an executive vice president at Regions Financial and managing executive of Regions' residential mortgage division.

Naqvi led PNC's mortgage operation until 2001, when the Pittsburgh-based bank sold the business. PNC bought National City in late 2008, and Naqvi returned as PNC integrated National City Mortgage, which became PNC Mortgage.
