New Podcast Series Chronicles The Best Vacation Rental Professionals In The World

Sponsored by smart home property automation leader PointCentral.

PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The vacation rental sector has a new entertainment channel to add to its growing buzz. Industry thought leader Matt Landau has partnered with PointCentral, the leader in enterprise-scale property automation, to produce 'Tiny Architects,' an Unlocked Podcast series that traverses the globe to track down the most exciting vacation rental professionals and examine what makes them so innovative.

The 'Tiny Architects' reference is a nod to explorer Charles Darwin's description of the coral reef ecosystem, in which a "myriad of tiny architects" possessed more innovation than anywhere on earth.

The series, which started October 15th, is the first podcast in the emerging vacation rental sector to step out of the studio and venture out into the field — with each of the 15 episodes being recorded in a different environment -- as diverse and unique as the vacation rental professionals themselves.

"We wanted to really up the ante for podcasts in our space," Landau says. "These people are innovating in their cars, elevators, on boats and inside laundry facilities, so that's where we decided to record our interviews. It seems funny, but an office environment sounds different in Savannah than it does in Italy. A guest checking in sounds different in Phoenix than it does in Bali. We wanted to embrace those nuances in order to tell more immersive stories."

"A podcast like this is important for the vacation rental industry," says Sean Miller, president of PointCentral. "What we like most about the 'Tiny Architects' project is that Matt and his team are championing voices and perspectives that don't always get noticed in the broader hospitality landscape. This style of storytelling really embraces the entrepreneurial brilliance of vacation rental professionals."

PointCentral partners with vacation rental managers to provide a safer, more enjoyable experience for guests, allow staff to be more efficient and owners more profitable. Tiny Architects gives PointCentral the ability to speak to and hear from vacation rental managers that are helping to shape the future of the industry.

The first episodes featuring Sarah Bradford of Winter Park Lodging, Jennifer Frankenstein-Harris of Great Ocean Condos and Amy Hinote of VRMIntel are now live on all podcast platforms under 'Unlocked by Matt Landau.' One new episode will be released every Wednesday.

The 'Tiny Architects' series will be powered by a production team befitting an NPR news operation. Its producers, TFP Company, are the same team that produces The Vacation Rental Show presented by Booking.com. As the first vacation rental travel show to land on broadcast TV, TFP Company is no stranger to uncharted waters.
