Pokemon Go Halloween Event 2017: 6 Things to Know
The Pokemon Go Halloween event is coming sooner than you think.
Here are six things to know about it:
Game creator Niantic announced that the event will be launched tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 20.
A number of new monsters available to capture will be released into the world starting then. Several new characters will be available, including Sableye, Banette, as well as a “few other ghost-type pokemon,” according to Niantic.
The Pokemon Go Halloween event will run until Nov. 2, and it will include a number of other new additions.
Unsurprisingly, a plethora of ghost pokemon will appear with more frequency, including Gastly. You’ll be able to catch a Pikachu while wearing a witch’s hat.
You will also have the opportunity to get a Mimkyu-themed hat to dress up your trainer
Niantic added that more additions to the game will come in December, including new creatures from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire.
The announcement for the Pokemon Go event comes about a year after the first of its in-game events initiated with the first Halloween celebration, followed by the expansion of augmented reality in gaming and various other segments of the tech industry.
