Polaris results blow past forecasts

Earnings, Revenue Beat The Street Once Again

Polaris earned $1.33 a share, beating the $1.20 consensus forecast. Revenue of $879.9 million compared with the $830.5 million estimate. The market of off-road vehicles also raised full-year guidance yet again. PII, already up more than 50 percent this year, advanced another 3 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

MannKind Plunges on Plan to Raise Capital

Drug developer MannKind said it plans to sell shares and warrants to help fund its operations. They didn't say how many, but traders aren't waiting to find out. MNKD plunges 20 percent in the premarket.

Planned Layoffs Give Alcatel-Lucent a Boost

Alcatel-Lucent had bullish call buying earlier in the week. It popped yesterday along with other European stocks, and is climbing again today after management announced plans to cut almost 5,500 jobs to lower costs. ALU is up 6 percent before the bell.

Given Imaging Exploring Strategic Alternatives

Given Imaging, an Israeli maker of medical-diagnostic tools, said it's considering a sale after being approached by potential buyers. It also hired Barclays as an adviser. GIVN pops 12 percent in early trading.
