AVON LAKE, Ohio (AP) _ PolyOne Corp. (POL) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter profit of $11.4 million.
On a per-share basis, the Avon Lake, Ohio-based company said it had profit of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 41 cents per share.
The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 41 cents per share.
The maker of resins used in plastic pipe and other products posted revenue of $834 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $827.5 million.
For the year, the company reported net income of $159.8 million, or $1.99 per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $3.53 billion.
PolyOne shares have climbed 13 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined 26 percent in the last 12 months.
