ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Post Holdings Inc. (POST) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $16.2 million.
On a per-share basis, the St. Louis-based company said it had profit of 21 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.19 per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.24 per share.
The cereal maker posted revenue of $1.44 billion in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.45 billion.
Post Holdings shares have increased 20% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $106.68, a climb of 25% in the last 12 months.
